Jokotoye Aanu an inspirational guitarist who's popularly known as Da Guitarprince has been noted for celebrating his birthday in a church as a worship concert annually themed "Endless Worship".This unusual style of celebrating a birthday urged us to find out what intrigued him to celebrate his birthday in such manner.DA Guitarprince said "It's a personal decision and it started about 15 years ago in a little way. Every 12th of April is my birthday and I would always stay indoor, worship GOD for adding another year to my age. Few years after, my friends would join me on that day and we would worship together , it got so fascinating that we never wanted to stop, we never wanted the day to be over and myself and friends who came around would wish everyday was my birthday.
In 2012 everything was going against me even on my birthday but that never stopped my desire to worship GOD, i invited six of my friends to a church in Lagos where my brother was pastoring, the first time I used a church to celebrate my birthday. It was an unforgettable experience, we had about 8hours non stop worship moment and passersby joined in the process. I made up my mind to gather people to worship GOD with me on my day of birth and also got the inspiration to tag it Endless Worship. Some people celebrate theirs in club or beach, I have no problem with that but mine has to be in the presence of GOD."
Da Guitarprince was also asked why he doesn't fix his concert at weekend to attract more people and here is his response: "It's not about weekend it's about GOD. I was born on the 12th of April and I won't shift or change my date of birth. I treasure the day so much so my special worship belongs to the day of my birth. Also it's about GOD not people, If we are 10 and we worship GOD wholeheartedly I'm satisfied but to my surprise the attendance has always been wow.in recent years."
