Pep Guardiola makes just a single change to the Manchester City side that started the 4-0 rout of Feyenoord in midweek. Raheem Sterling returns from suspension on the right wing as Bernardo Silva drops to the bench, while the game has come too soon for the recovering Vincent Kompany. Sergio Aguero has scored six goals in his four previous appearances against Watford.

Both alterations come in defence where Daryl Janmaat returns ahead of Kiko Femenia at right-back, while Adrian Mariappa replaces the injured Younes Kaboul to partner Christian Kabasele in the centre. Molla Wague and Marvin Zeegelaar could make their debuts from the bench.
