Super Eagles stars, Wilfred Ndidi, Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho will be working under a new boss from Wednesday as Leicester City has appointed Claude Puel to take over as manager.
The Premier League side have now had three managers this year, as Puel would be replacing Craig Shakespeare who succeeded Claudio Ranieri officially at the start of this season.
The Foxes are 14th on the League table with two wins from nine games, and 56-year-old Puel, who led Southampton to finish 8th last season, will be hoping to steer the former champions in the right direction.
The former Monaco boss said it was “a great privilege” to take over at Leicester, adding that the club’s “values and ambitions are closely aligned to my own.”
“The opportunity to help the club build on its remarkable recent achievements is a truly exciting one and I’m looking forward to working with the owners, players, staff and supporters to deliver further lasting success”, he added.
Meanwhile, Michael Appleton, who served as the caretaker manager securing victories over Swansea in the Premier League last weekend and over Leeds in Tueseay’s Carabao Cup clash, will remain as assistant manager.
